Headteacher’s Welcome Message

Welcome to Wootton St. Peter’s C of E Primary School.  I am very pleased that you would like to know more about our wonderful school in Wootton village, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We are a small primary school with 82 pupils on roll, aged from 4 to 11.  We pride ourselves on the strong sense of community in the school and the emphasis we place on putting positive relationships at the heart of all we do. Our engaging curriculum provides our children with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they need to succeed during their time with us and beyond.

“The curriculum is broad and balanced. It engages pupils well and develops their skills and knowledge effectively.”  OFSTED report rated GOOD (March 2019)

Our team is committed and works hard to ensure that all of our children are safe, happy and reaching their full potential. We are determined to provide all our children with a high quality education so they leave the school inquisitive and with a lifelong joy of learning.

“Pupils enjoy learning. They listen attentively to their teachers and their peers. They enjoy sharing their thoughts and ideas in lessons.” OFSTED report rated GOOD (March 2019)

We hope this website gives you a feel of our school but please come and see for yourselves through a visit where I will welcome you, give you a tour and answer any questions.

‘My child is very happy and thriving. A great school!’ (OFSTED Parent View)
