Headteacher’s Welcome Message
Welcome to Wootton St. Peter’s C of E Primary School! We are a voluntary aided (VA) church school supported by the Diocese of Oxford
Our friendly school, with a ‘family’ atmosphere, is situated in Wootton Village, near Boars Hill, in Oxfordshire. We serve the communities of Wootton and the surrounding area within our catchment. Currently there are 95 pupils on roll, aged between four and eleven, organised into four classes. The curriculum is taught within a safe and stimulating environment and promotes an equality of opportunity where individuals are valued and helped to achieve their personal best. Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn. All schools have their own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes each one unique. We believe that the ‘special feel’ at Wootton St Peter’s Primary comes from our caring, supportive and friendly environment.
I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care. Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for future education; and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
We provide wrap-around care for the children via a Breakfast and After School Club, run by our own staff, which is very popular with working parents/carers and offers a wide range of activities.
If you are a prospective parent/carer, you are most welcome to arrange for a tour of the school, when I would be delighted to meet you and your child.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us on-line and for your interest in our school; I hope you will enjoy browsing our website and find out more about the children’s classes, sporting activities, music, school trips and other events.
